Rembering John Romano

Earlier this month, John Romano passed away after a brief battle with cancer. John was a long-time volunteer leader of NESPA, CONSPA, and our national association. He was a three-term president of CONSPA. He served on the NESPA Board and was Board President in 1995.

John also served an unmatched 13 years on the board of the National Spa and Pool Institute (NSPA, now known as PHTA). His efforts in support of safety, consumer awareness, and education have resulted in significant legislation, regulations, and codes not only in Connecticut and the NESPA region but across the country.

All who knew him will miss his spirit, friendship, and love for our industry.
