When State Adopts License Regs, Industry Will Have 24 Months to ‘Grandfather’

If you are concerned about grandfathering into the Pool and Spa Service Contractor and Pool and Spa Builders and Installers licenses in New Jersey, you still have plenty of time. Originally, the state indicated that pool professionals could apply for licensing starting July 30, 2019 and that pool professionals would have 24 months from that date to “grandfather” into the new licenses.

Regulations regarding the new licenses have not yet been issued. Until the regulations are issued, no license can be issued.
