At the March 24th CONSPA Membership meeting, Connecticut State Building Inspector Omarys Vasquez discussed upcoming building code revisions, which are anticipated to take effect on July 1, 2026. A significant change involves the barrier code for pool and spa construction: a powered safety cover will no longer be accepted as a replacement for a fence barrier.
