Step Into Swim: A Year of Impact in the NESPA Region

In 2024, NESPA members made a powerful impact by supporting Step Into Swim, a life-saving initiative by the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance aimed at reducing childhood drownings through accessible swim lessons.

With over 6,450 children receiving lessons across four states and nearly $450,000 raised, NESPA’s commitment has helped to turn the tide on drowning prevention.

Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines praised the partnership, emphasizing the importance of teaching kids to stay safe in and around water. True stories of children learning to swim for the first time, highlight the real-world difference that these life-saving efforts make! 

The NESPA region has proven to be a shining example of what is possible when an industry unites for a greater cause. Whether through donations, advocacy or spreading awareness, NESPA members contributed to the cause in all different ways.

Looking ahead to 2025, Step Into Swim aims to build on this success and expand its efforts even further, ensuring that no child is left without access to swim education.
